Green Bank Observatory Master Trail Plan, Green Bank, WV
Between November and December 2025, SHARC Trails led the development of a Master Trail Plan for the expansion of the Green Bank Observatory (GBO) trail system. This planning effort was supported by Northern Pocahontas Community Wellness, a local 501(c)(3) organization committed to developing approximately 30 miles of new trails on GBO property.
Through a series of planning sessions and stakeholder meetings, SHARC Trails helped create a cohesive, user-focused Master Trail Plan designed to serve hikers, mountain bikers, and equestrians. Our team was responsible for trail flagging, mapping, and the overall development and completion of the GBO Master Trail Plan.
